Amita Verna is offering a weekly community yoga class in the Forest Home Chapel. Get in touch if you are interested.
Enjoy an hour long session of yoga asana practice that is suitable for all levels of practitioners. Whether you are a seasoned yogi looking for convenience and motivation to practice, or a beginner or somewhere in between, this practice will help to build balance, flexibility and and strength in the body and bring mindfulness in your daily lives. Amita will offer modifications for beginners and for those who have difficulty with balance or up-and-down movements or have some limited mobility.
There is no fee, but contributions of $5 will support a local food pantry.
Currently the sessions are at 5:30 pm on Thursdays. Everyone will need a mat. Amita strongly recommends that folks bring two blocks and a blanket for padding for the knees. there is space to store your mat, blocks and blanket at the Chapel if you wish to do so.
