These photos of Forest Home lanes were taken by Dani Novak in July 2012. Dani started from Halcyon Hill Road and visited Crest Lane and the Forest Home Walkway before strolling through the Wildflower Garden and the Arboretum.
Halcyon Hill Road, off Warren Road
Eastern end of Crest Lane. Plaque honoring Eugene and Ann Erickson and Peter and Marjorie Loucks for the 1996 gift of the land now known as the Hertel Bowl as a Cornell Plantations Natural Area.

The Arboretum is a popular place for walking, whether you take the paths maintained in the open or cut through the woods.
Into the Slim Jim woods, to the south of the Newman Meadow. Near the Caldwell Road entrance to the Arboretum.
The Arboretum’s Johnston Trail cuts through the woods from the Newman Meadow towards the Cornell Botanic Gardens nursery.
Near end of Treman Woodland Walk, off Arbor Road, in the Arboretum.
The Allen Trail leads to the Arboretum’s Zucker Shrub Collection.
At the other end of the Allen Trail, at the eastern end of the Arboretum, steps lead down to Forest Home Drive. Halfway down the steps, the Morgan-Smith Trail turns off to the east through the woods.
Across Forest Home Drive is a pedestrian bridge by Flat Rock, which leads to more trails on the north side of Fall Creek.
