Cornell and the Emerald Ash Borer

You may have seen this piece from the Cornell Chronicle already:
http://news.cornell.edu/stories/2018/05/cornell-plans-response-against-emerald-ash-borer.

If not, you may be interested to know that signs of the insect pest have now been seen in downtown Ithaca.

In the picture, there is a bit.ly URL shown, but it doesn’t work, probably because the New York Invasive Species (NYIS) site is in the process of an update.

The new URL for the NYIS site’s Emerald Ash Borer resources appears to be http://nyis.info/invasive_species/emerald-ash-borer/.

If you would like to have someone expert from Cornell give a presentation to FHIA (perhaps in the Fall, since many will have vacation plans over the summer), please send a message to ForestHomeNews@gmail.com and mention any particular questions you have.  The board will see what can be arranged.
